OMG I freaking love Princess Luna!! 
I watched the Premiere Episodes of the new Season of the MLP, and I loved it! I was actually glad they decided to include Woona as well!!! I wanted to try to draw her without lineart, and I'm really happy with the results ( I really love shading, it's what give "body" to the drawing! to me, it's like seeing something coming alive!
She's always cute, and wonderful and marvelous and sweet!!! (ok, I'm a tiny bit obssessed with Luna, but I find much easier to love her than Celestia!)
Also, I know that according to Fluttershy, "Butterflies do not fly so high", but let's pretend this is a "Moon Butterfly", and she flies really high!
I wanted to use her appereance and her colours from the Premiere episodes of the first season because I imagined her exploring her realm, the night sky, when she was a little filly.

I love both season 1 and season 2 Luna just about equally. S1 Luna has the obvious cuteness appeal and almost became a fan character in and of herself despite only getting like thirty seconds of screentime and not saying anything more than "I'm so sorry! I missed you so much, big sister!" while S2 Luna's appeal stems from her having matured since S1, really standing up on her own and being a badass, majestic but sometimes still adorable character. This is a really nice picture.
