Winter Tundra - One Thousand Years Ago

EDIT : I fixed Luna's cutie mark, which was backward, as one of you gently pointed it out!

Hi there! finally I'm done with this HUUUUUUUUGE drawing. I think it's the most complicated artwork I've ever done, and that background took me forever, but I managed to finish it!

I was listening to this song of Spyro- Gateway to Glimmer soundtrack --> [link], and I got inspired. I've been wanting to draw a young Princess Celestia and little Woona together for a while, and I decided to draw them together while they are watching the northern lights. I absolutely loved to draw everything , but the mountains were a pain in the butt to colour, and I had to redo them 3 times before being satisfied (and I'm not completely happy with them yet...but I was too tired to redo them once more!) Now, I know that according to Hasbro, the northern lights are created by the power of the Crystal Heart in the Crystal Kingdom, but I don't like that version that much. I have always thought that, since Princess Luna is the Ruler of the Night, she would be in charge of creating the Northern and the Southern Lights, so, I decided to draw little Luna showing her beloved sister Tia how she has improved in her magic, and how she's now able to create the Aurora Borealis. I can see them, one thousand years ago, being the closest of the sisters, and loving each other very much.

I really, really like how it generally turned out, but the background was really difficult to do...I've never done something so intricate, but I'm really happy I was able to!
